The company is happy to invest time and resources into providing you with additional training. I've received working from heights (WFH) and confined space entry (CSE) training. I've also been fortunate to participate in multiple diagnostics training relating to mechanical systems. You have regular meetings with your line-manager. You are also assigned a buddy that helps coach and mentor you.
It is fairly easy to reach out to people from other teams if you would like to learn about what their role entails. Commercial excellence sessions and lunch and learns are another great way to learn about other departments.
