I really enjoyed it. Viva Energy do a great job of making it feel like a positive experience regardless of the outcome. The first interview was by phone and it felt more casual and getting to know each other. The second stage was an in-person technical assessment followed by an interview with two relevant line-managers in your general discipline area. The technical assessment was fair but you have to utilise your time well. The second interview was very friendly and didn't feel like an interrogation. It went for 45-60 minutes. I think I was able to appreciate the experience more because I had done adequate preparation, but I can see how it would feel like a more stressful time without it, but that would be the case in any interview process. The two interviewers were very supportive and happy to elaborate on questions I had and/or share more about their roles and the sort of working environment it would be like. Compared to other interview processes that have 5 or more stages, this was by far the smoothest and pleasant of them with relatively quick feedback on whether you passed to the next step or not.
Viva's recruitment process was one of the simplest. It began with a phone screening, which was followed by an in-person Google Forms assessment, and an in-person interview with two people (one from HR and one from within the team you are applying to). This 3-stage process was much shorter than the other 5+ stage assessments from most graduate-hiring companies.
First there was a phone interview. Once successful in this there was an assessment center with in-person interview and technical assessment
There was a brief phone screen with a recruiter followed by an assessment center with several work style / technical assessments and an interview with the hiring manager. It was all very straightforward and well communicated, and the entire process was completed very quickly.
