Office space is limited so push for desk sharing. office has a need for more meeting rooms. location is close to public transport, is centrally located so easy to get to. facilities are modern and well kept.
The location, in fortitude valley, is within walking distance of fortitude valley station and surrounded by plenty of places to get lunch. i can be a bit annoying to get to if you don't live on the train line since most buses terminate in the city. the office space is nice. the development floors have an open layout to encourage collaboration with colleagues. all employees are given their own desk unless they have a special arrangement to work from home on a more frequent basis. there is a modern gym available for employees to access on the ground floor of the building and good places to eat lunch within the office.
Office is decently spacious, there is a comfortable amount of room to work. there are pods you can go into for some silence if you need, just take your laptop. free coffee/milk/hot chocolate at the coffee machine. free all day breakfast at the office. there is end of trip facilities, so you can put your bike there, and/or get changed and take a shower. free to use clean towels for the showers. free to use on site gym for technologyone employees only. office is in the central business district, so unless you're prepared to pay a lot for rent, then you'll have to travel a while to get to work. for me it's 1 hour on public transport. there are car parks but not many. dress code is smart casual, most people wear company shirts (they get given out for free), jeans, and sneakers. can go more formal if you want, but for most devs it's pretty chill.
It's like working at google, couldn't work at a better office.
