Lots of great online training but wish there was more in person as that is how I feel like graduates get the best development. Majority of my training comes from the work I get given on a daily basis. My attention to detail, legal writing and legal research has improved massively.
We have a number of induction videos we have to watch as a new starter employee. Graduates also had two weeks of induction sessions to become familiar with the firm systems and practice areas. There are ongoing education opportunities available firm wide for different legal topics often presented by external experts in areas such as forensic accounting and from those in offices in other states. Performance feedback can be sought at any time and there are formal review periods twice a year. Coaching and mentoring is more informal and dependent on those more junior seeking guidance from others. Everyone if often willing to help answer questions and teach new skills.
On the job training. There are training programs when you first commence, and then you learn through senior employees and experience.
Not very good, not specific to the tasks expected of graduates.
