Depends on the team. Personal work feels unsatisfying, very manual laborious tasks which seems silly as a software grad at a software company. Strange culture of fear also has people avoidant of using automation in areas that could affect live systems and no one seems to want to begin the conversation of what policies to set / guidelines to work towards to one day introduce its usage. Personally almost never do development work in my team. Lots of clicking on aws terminals, maybe running a script or two. Lots of "grad work" - writing confluence documentation etc.
Sometimes tasks don't align with what you really want to pursue.
