The company is flexible as long as you complete your standard hours. However depending on the time of year, we sometimes have to work overtime but I know this is the same at most companies.
Nexia Sydney is extremely flexible when it comes work arrangements, such as remote work for home. The firm truly adapts to how each individual desires their work environment to be. With the firm allowing you to work from home for a maximum of 3/5 days you work in the office. So 60% of your working week. However, most staff choose to come in all days of the week due to the ease of communicating with other staff, the weekly activities and socializing you do with other colleagues.
They are very flexible. Once you have passed probation (depending on what level and in what team you're in) you can genrally work from home once a week but I find if you need to you can discuss with your boss and this is flexible
As a graduate, my work hours are structured around standard office hours, but I’ve found there’s a good level of flexibility when needed. The firm understands that sometimes study, personal commitments, or even just life outside of work can come up, and they’re supportive in making adjustments where possible. There are opportunities to work from home on certain days, which really helps with balance, especially during CA study periods. What I’ve appreciated most is the trust the team places in us – as long as the work gets done and deadlines are met, there’s a healthy balance between structure and flexibility.
We do have busy periods throughout the year where some overtime may be required, but the firm places a strong focus on work-life balance. We also have the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week, which helps manage me manage my schedule. I also have flexibility with my start/finish times.
