The firm has a strong emphasis on CSR. Our committee regularly organize initiatives that make it easy to give back and support others.
Nexia's corporate social responsibility initiatives are integrated into their global and local Nexia Australia strategy, focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing. Key activities involve community support through pro bono work and donations, environmental efforts like tree planting and cleanups during events like Nexia Week, and internal programs to develop staff and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
The firm has a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, and it’s inspiring to see how actively everyone is involved. All staff are encouraged to participate in initiatives and volunteering days, which creates a real sense of community and shared purpose. Personally, I’ve had the chance to contribute to projects supporting a variety of charities, including RSPCA, Cancer Council, Stepping Stone House, and Royal Far West. It’s great to work for a firm that not only supports these causes financially but also gives staff the time and opportunity to get involved hands-on, making a real impact in the community.
CSR is a big focus at the firm. They support over 50 charities on an ongoing basis and have a number of pro bono clients. We’re offered a paid volunteer day each year, which is a great way to get involved with colleagues. Staff can also participate in CSR committees. Personally, I’ve baked for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and ran the City2Surf, which was firm sponsored. Other fun charity events I would like to get involved with include the Krazy Kosciuszko Klimb for young people with cerebral palsy, Stepping Stone House Corporate Volunteering Day, Sleep Under the Stars, Jersey Day, and Red Nose Day-all of which the firm sponsors. You always see staff, including Partners, actively getting involved in these events.
