Our graduate program had a very well planned training pathway to upskill us rapidly for our projects. Not only did we get to work on our technical skills, we also had consulting workshops to improve our presentations and build confidence in meetings/workshops.
The account management graduate position equips graduates with the skills needed to excel in this role from the start. From very early days I've had the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to various projects and add value to the team in multiple ways. I've improved in my soft skills - presentations that I've given to external clients, client meetings I've attended as well as my hard skills - familiarity with data analysis and extracting data for quarterly business reviews, slide deck preparations etc. There are also a number of development opportunities for graduates - we are able to put our hand up for various projects that differ across the business units to ensure that we are learning skills that are broad across the organisation. Also direct management has been supportive, with regular check-ins and catch-ups organised to discuss feedback, areas to improve and positive recognition.
