Culture is decent but not fully defined yet as there have been many new senior recruits. Different service lines often socialise or work together on engagements Teamwork is very highly valued as a skill - Networking within the company and externally is heavily encouraged at all levels
An unhealthy blend of frat boy culture and alcoholism. Networking and teamwork have had the line blurred with alcoholism and an expectation of participation that is never explicitly stated as being a factor in performance review but is quietly known to be a key factor.
It is a very relaxed workplace in which social cohesion seems to be a priority. This makes sense given the nature of the work, which involves developing relationships with lawyers and bankers in order to gain work as well as interaction with a wide range of stakeholders - employees, management, suppliers etc. It also makes sense given the structure of teams, which is based on availability and skills. Most engagements are small and so employees are engaged in several projects at once unless there is a large, formal engagement, in which case the teams would be larger and wholly focused.
Everyone, including Partners and senior leadership, are super accessible and willing to help. We have plenty of fund events and get amongst the activities at work e.g. table tennis and pool.
