No formal training was provided - very much thrown into the deep end with things and expected to figure things out. Often feel quite unsupported in the role.
In my service line, I didn't receive any formal training. It's all on the job training which I don't mind but it makes it harder to learn sometimes. I do receive feedback and I have associates and managers supporting me but I would appreciate formal training. I didn't really get much mentoring as well.
We've had a few training sessions to get us introduced to the kind of jobs that we will be doing on our jobs, and I hear we will have the opportunity to go to a conference at a different point. The other good thing is the feedback system is very much encouraged on each and every job that we complete.
Monthly trainings and more trainings as necessary - depending on updates in laws/ tips & tricks we should know as accountants. Can learn significant technical skills from these sessions - personally regarding the structure of Trusts.
