Promotion to a higher rank takes about 1-2 years which i think is already a great timeline. However, i'm not yet sure about what i would like to take with these future opportunities.
I have not moved up the ranks .. But i've been given opportunities to take on more responsibilities and roles that increase my visibility and relationships and positions me for proceeding up the ranks.
I am currently on placement at a job that i really enjoy and i am good at but would probably never have even thought to apply for if fdm didn't put me forward. You get exposed to a wide range of roles but you are definitely limited to what is available at the time. It is luck of the draw.
1. I have the opportunities to learn from others across different career spaces which is beneficial for my own career progression and knowledge. 2. I have the opportunity to receive one-on-one training to improve my skills on a fortnightly/monthly basis.
