With the different roles I've been exposed to different variants and types of it roles. Once the graduation program is over I'll be offered a position in the best role suited to me.
Pay progression is tied to the enterprise bargaining agreement & is set for the role.
I found the idea of not being able to apply for roles outside the graduate program for 2 year as a downside. It is a long time... However, the career prospects after this period are huge. Having sure a wide scope of knowledge will allow you to apply for a lot of roles in such a versatile and changing landscape. the program organizers took on board your strengths and weaknesses and tried to align rotations with areas you are passionate about or feel you could bring a lot of benefit to.
Time based progression, limited opportunities for experience or competency-based progression for several years. Compensation does increase with years in program at a good level.
As I am a graduate currently promotion prospects are limited, however I am guaranteed a permanent full time roll following my graduate programs completion, once the grad program is completed there are a multitude of options to pursue to fulfil my career aspirations and a workplace environment designed to encourage me to pursue them.
