Lots of opportunites to undertake professional development as a grad, including short courses in practical and soft skills, conferences and field work
There's so many training opportunities. I have done GIS training, First Aid, Mental health wellbeing, Cultural safety training. We also have opportunities for training in Emergency management, and I have done firefighter training and complex 4wd training as part of that. My grad L&D budget has also enabled me to do behaviour change training and wilderness first aid.
The online modules that are on offer are quite hit or miss, with some being fairly outdated or not very engaging. Opportunities for in-person training are there and these are much better generally.
