There is a lot of instability around promotion and job progression/retention at the moment within this company
Promotion possibilities and opportunities have not been communicated to me during my time at csiro. my employer has not been able to fulfil my career aspirations and has provided lack of stability and communication.
There are opportunities for a promotion. however, they have been uncertainties around whether there is opportunities for my contract to be continued after the graduate program. there was discussion at the start of the graduate program that there would be opportunity for me to progress. however, since the announcements of the reforms at csiro there has been no indication of whether it is possible to continue here after the grad program. i do understand that i still have a year left of my contract so it may be too early for these discussions.
I have been given opportunities to pursue post grad education. however once i have complete my master's degree i'm not sure if i will be provided with further employment or need to find a new job
