I work from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Wednesday, and 8:30-3:30 on Thursday and Friday. I choose to come in earlier most days to prepare for the day, but I do not stay back and there is not an expectation that staff will stay back. I currently do not have any flexible working hours/arrangements but many of my colleagues do. The school is very supportive of people working hours that best suit them.
Very flexible
I am working 36 hours/week. My manager is very flexible when it comes to work hours and very generous when it comes to WFH. They give priority for you as a person before treating like an employee
Very flexible. The nature of my industry makes it more difficult as we have on call arrangements, some optional and some not, But this does not take away from the flexible and supportive working environment and you are financially compensated. I have had no disruption to my personal life except for activation during TC Alfred.
The Flexible work arrangements are one of the elements that makes working in the council a very great experience, because I can be more productive, save transport expenses and also using travelling time to my health and wellness, allowing me to go out to walk outdoor, going to the gym, enjoying my hobbies after work, etc. Also, the 9 days fortnightly allow me to have more time to take care of myself without affecting my performance at work.
