There is procedure for everything in the ATO in regard to hours and working arrangements. The ATO continually emphasises working hours to be the standard. Working overtime is allowed but is not preferred due to the nature of us being grads. Getting a WFH arrangement is not too bad however can sometimes be a bit cumbersome due to admin work that come with it. Also, it takes a really long time for your WFH to get approved. Managers are also not too keen on you working different days to your agreement even if you are sick. They would rather you take sick leave then swap your days.
It is very flexible. As grads, we also get to have a WFH agreement to work from home. It is not mandatory to arrive and leave at a specific time, as long as every day's total hour is reached and it's within the timeframe.
