The office has defined criteria when it comes to hours and working arrangements. But I find that at the end of the day it's really comes down t your relationship with your team and manager. I found that If you're open about your needs and your outside-work commitments, such as any caring responsibilities you may have, they can be quite flexible.
My work hours are quite flexible. i am able to start work at a time that suits me, attend any appointments i need to where i'm not able to book them 'outside of standard work hours' and can make these hours up quite easily so that this time is not always booked a 'leave'.
Very accommodating
The anao is very flexible with the working hours. i usually start early (between 8 and 8:30am), and finish early (between 4 and 4:30pm). all my managers have been accommodating with any time off i have requested, including annual leave, flex days and days when i requested to work from home. of course, we have to consider business needs when we schedule leave, which can be difficult if you are in the middle of a very busy period, but that is common to all entities.
