Structured graduate training covering aspects of the job that can't necessarily be captured on site e.g. business training, emotional intelligence.
Graduate training available for soft skills is very comprehensive and good through AIM. Technical training programs are something I have to find and request for (nothing planned for me unfortunately). Day to day learning/training from direct manager is lacking with very little support there. Positive from this is that i picked up the skill to being extremely proactive and finding other people to get answers from but its much more difficult and the processes that you learn may not be appropriate to the role suited because answers are coming from people in other roles.
I completed high voltage switching in my old role which was really good. That gave me demonstrable skills and it made me more employable and better at my job. I have not participated in a training course that I have found worthwhile provided by the company since. I've obviously picked up informal skills that are invaluable to my current role.
