There are training opportunities available both within the team I'm in as well as through the early careers program.
Lots of opportunity for career advancement, and part of the graduate budget includes access to external courses for professional development. Mentoring included and emphasis on arranging frequent meetings with mentors.
Training and development opportunities that Alinta has provided include: a mentorship program, compliance training for working on site (working at heights, confined space entry, etc), first aid and CPR training and regular achievement reviews
There are budgets set aside for graduates. You have input into What skills and courses you would like to do. Lot of opportunity internally to be trained and informed about all work streams. Mentorship opportunities available. Skills I have pick up are: communication, time management, organisation, technical skills, scheduling and presentation.
Attended lunch & learns every month, where people from different departments gave the graduates a presentation describing their role. Alinta runs a mentor program. Alinta organises Graduate trips where you get to see some of Alinta's power stations and renewable farms across the country
